Known as "the king of spices" with a pungent, biting aroma & taste; Black pepper comes from the dried, immature berries of the vine Piper Nigrum. The berries are picked while still green, allowed to ferment and are then sun-dried until they shrivel and turn a brownish-black color.
Usage Tips
Remove cap. Turn upside down and twist.
Use freshly cracked peppercorns as seasoning for salad dressings, marinades and sauces, it goes great on top of fresh greens or to add flavour to meats and fish.
Add when cooking or at the table to taste.
