Beat eggs in a 13 x 9 (33 x 23 cm) baking dish. Whisk in milk, sugar, cinnamon seasoning, and vanilla. Place bread in pan, soaking for 5 minutes per side.
Melt 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter in large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place 4 slices in skillet. Cook 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining butter and slices. Serve with maple syrup and additional cinnamon seasoning, if desired.
The above recipe doesn't mention how much milk you are to use, but the link with the Youtube video of this recipe will tell you. I made the recipe according to these steps and directions and I felt that soaking the bread 5 min per side was too long! When I took it out of the dish to put in the frying pan, it crumbled apart. With the ones I managed to salvage, they were so soggy and hardly cooked accordingly in the pan. Once I removed them when they were done cooking, they too crumbled and fell apart because they were SO soggy. I wasted 4 pieces of bread before trying a difference method of just dipping the bread in the mixture and putting it right to the pan. It worked out much better and tasted delicious with fresh fruit and cream!
