Quick and easy every time! Just add beer to make this great tasting batter. Coats heavily and fries to a crisp golden brown.
All You Need: • vegetable oil • 2/3 cup (150 mL) cold beer or cold water • 1 – ½ lb (750 g) fresh or thawed fish or seafood, patted dry All You Do: 1. Preheat vegetable oil in deep fryer to 375°F (190°C) or preheat 1/2 inch (1 cm) vegetable oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. 2. Whisk together one pouch of batter mix and beer in medium bowl until smooth. 3. Dip fish pieces in batter. Tap gently on side of bowl to remove excess batter. 4. Deep fry or pan fry, several at a time, for 2-3 minutes, turning as needed until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towel. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.
